The French Stall reopens as BRETON

Chef Xavier has this desire to fulfill his long-term dream of bringing lobsters (which to a lot many people a delicacy) to the tables of his restaurant.  At a popular price from as little as $39, if we can bring some joy of such dining to more people, we will also be continuing the same spirit of The French Stall of bringing reasonable-priced french cuisine to the people in Singapore.

Chef Xavier, being a Breton, together with his brother Pastry Chef Arnaud joining the company, provides an excellent opportunity to open a Breton-inspired cuisine.

Breton is the name of the people from & a Celtic language spoken in Brittany, France.  Besides crepes & galette, Brittany has great seafood & meat.  We bring the surf & turf part of Brittany to Singapore.  That's why we are Breton-inspired cuisine serving surf (lobsters) & turf (ribeye, tenderloin, pork).  At BRETON, we also have a bar to be stocked with more cider, pastis, beer & wine.  While waiting for your tables, you can always have aperitifs listening to the carefully selected Celtic music transporting us all to this northwest corner of France...

“You don’t have to hurt your pockets to eat French cuisine” promises owner-chef Xavier LE HENAFF of Brittany. Drawing in crowds with the move to Serangoon Road, just off Little India, The French Stall is like a small neighbourhood café or bistro in Paris – it’s popular and inexpensive. “With fuss free dining – there’s no air-conditioning, tables are a little cramped, The French Stall serves downhome, good value food in a comfy, relaxed setting” quoted an article in the many media it attracted.

Celebrating its 14th year in Singapore, THE FRENCH STALL continues to whip out the joyous experience that is true bistro dining:  best quality cuisine, tasty, generously served fares.  THE FRENCH STALL… where good food is still prepared in the premise & cooked with passion in the traditional way…
